City of Tales (Adapted)

This performance (in Farsi) is an adapted version of "Shahr-e Gheseh" (The City of Tales) by
Bijan Mofid, a celebrated Persian play known for its profound social commentary and satire.
Often considered a children's story, this adaptation delves into modern life's complexities,
addressing themes of identity, personal struggle, and self-alienation. It highlights the cost of
pursuing societal status, leading to estrangement from one's true self. Our dance performance,
enriched with vocals in Farsi, uses musical and rhythmic elements to enhance the narrative,
making the critique of modern humanity's quest for recognition even more impactful.
This performance is 90 minutes long with a 15-minute intermission. Latecomers will be allowed
in up to 15 minutes into the show or after intermission.

انجمن هنری بلک اوت، با افتخار اقتباسی از نمایش "شهر قصه" نوشته بیژن مفید و به کارگردانی امیر نعیم حسینی را به روی
صحنه می برد. جایگاه ویژه ی این اثر هنری در ذهن و قلب جامعه ایرانی مهمترین دلیلی بود تا چنین تجربه ای برای گروه هنری ما
فراتر از اجرای یک نمایش باشد. شما را به دیدن حاصل ۹ ماه تلاش مداوم گروه ما که شامل ضبط صدا توسط صداپیشه های
ایرانی و طراحی و تمرین رقص های مربوطه توسط رقصنده های غیر ایرانی رقص معاصر می باشد، دعوت می کنیم. اجرای دوم
این نمایش در تاریخ ۱۵ سپتامبر در شهر کوکیتلام می باشد.
این نمایش در ۲ پرده و فاصله بین دو پرده ۱۰ دقیقه می باشد و مدت زمان اجرا ۹۰ دقیقه در نظر گرفته شده است. افرادی که دیر
برسند حداکثر تا ۱۰ دقیقه بعد از شروع نمایش و یا بین دو پرده اجازه ورود خواهند داشت.
این نمایش برای افراد بالای 15 سال توصیه می شود.
