Presented by Dream Designs
Everyone sleeps and dreams, yet most people have no idea as to why we dream, how we dream, and what our dreams mean. For a topic so universal the general public knows and talks about it surprisingly little. Dream Salon is a convergence of pursuits towards the understanding of sleep and dreams and how they shape the human experience, featuring internationally acclaimed dream scientists, leading clinical psychologists, and an esteemed indigenous storyteller.
Dreaming is a natural, healthy, and important function of our being. Dream Salon aims to bring dialogue about dreams into the mainstream to raise awareness of the importance of sleep and dreams to physical and mental health, which are the fundamental building blocks of societal harmony and happiness. Together with a panel of leading scientists, psychologists, storytellers, authors, teachers, and clinicians in the field, including Dr. Deidre Barrett, Dr. Kelly Bulkeley, Joseph A. Dandurand, Dr. Leslie Ellis, and Dr. Ana Mozol, we will examine the latest scientific discoveries of dreaming and its many benefits, the role of dreams throughout human evolution, dreaming in indigenous cultures, how to work with dreams to treat depression, anxiety, PTSD and other mental conditions, and depth analysis to uncover the hidden meanings of dreams.
This event will be hosted by Bei Linda Tang, Owner/Creative Director of Dream Designs (dreamdesigns.ca), a Vancouver based brand/manufacturer of organic natural healthy bedding, bath, and yoga products. For more details including speaker bios, please visit dreamdesigns.ca/pages/dream-salon-38
