Milestones in Melody: A Journey through Strings

Join us for an enchanting evening of violin music as Jerry and Yuko present "Milestones in Melody: A Journey through Strings." This concert will be held on October 12, 2024, at the Grosvenor Theatre in Vancouver. This event celebrates their years of dedication and practice, showcasing a rich and diverse repertoire that spans classical masterpieces and contemporary compositions—featuring works by H. Wieniawski, Serge Prokofiev, Jacob Dont, Dmitri Shostakovich, Antonio Vivaldi, and many more classical composers.

Jerry and Yuko have both participated in multiple provincial and national competitions. Their achievements include 1st place in the Performing Arts BC Provincial for Intermediate Chamber Groups, 2nd place in the Canadian Music Competition National Finals for ages 17 and under, 2nd place in the Canadian Music Competition National Finals for Chamber Music ages 15 and under, and 3rd place and platinum holders at the Vaya International Music Festival for Chamber Music ages 17 and under. They have also competed in the Vancouver Kiwanis Music Festivals. Each piece performed represents a significant milestone in their musical journey.

All proceeds from the concert will be donated to White Rock Christian Academy's Music Department and Friends of Chamber Music.
