Ravel, Introduction & Allegro
An exquisite work, somewhat of a mini harp concerto, was commissioned in 1905 by the Parisian publisher and instrument-maker Maison Erard to promote their new model of pedal-harp; the entire piece is based on the theme of thirds, first introduced by the flute and clarinet
Debussy, String Quartet in G minor, Op. 10
One of the most beloved string quartets in the genre, full of sensual beauty and textures, created with just four stringed instruments, one can hear the visual equivalent of skies and seas of Debussy's favourite painter, Joseph Mallord William Turner
Debussy, Sacred and Profane Dances
Composed as a test piece in 1903 for the Paris instrument-making company, Pleyel's, chromatic harp. The chromatic harp is now in the museum
Faure, Piano Quartet in C minor, Op. 15
Is one of Faure's earlier chamber music compositions and one of two piano quartets ever composed by him
