Kay Meek Arts Centre names Melissa Duchak as Executive Director

The Board of Directors is delighted to announce the appointment of Melissa Duchak as Executive Director. She takes up the position on October 23, 2023.

Melissa has over 20 years experience in performing arts management, locally and internationally, including the curation and implementation of both artistic and educational programming. An oboist by training, holding a Master’s Degree in Music, and currently a Doctoral Candidate in Education, Melissa’s background provides a unique perspective for the Kay Meek Arts Centre’s combination of professional, community and school programming.

Melissa joins the Kay Meek Arts Centre from her current position as Vice-President, Learning and Integrative Strategies at the VSO and the VSO School of Music. She brings her dedication to, and passion for, the power of the performing arts to inspire, engage and connect with each other and our community.
