Each year our volunteers donate over 5,000 hours of service to Kay Meek Arts Centre welcoming guests and providing a personal touch to each and every show.
Volunteering at the Kay Meek Arts Centre is the perfect way to get involved in your community while enjoying the highest calibre of entertainment on the North Shore. As a Kay Meek volunteer, you are the first point of contact when patrons enter the building and therefore are integral to the KMAC experience. You’ll be a greeter, ticket taker or usher to ensure the Kay Meek maintains our high standards of patron experiences.
You Role
Offer a friendly welcome to patrons entering the building
Act as a positive ambassador for Kay Meek Centre
Assist guests with any concerns; provide directions to locations within the building and answer questions. Be friendly, helpful and interact positively with people in any situation
Scan tickets, direct guests to their seats and distribute programs if applicable
Sell concession or merchandise for select performances
